Marius Matesan is a mixed media artist exploring the complex relationship between humans, technology and psychedelics. Prior to PlayLa.bZ he’s worked with DoubleMe, INC as a lead developer and helping create the mixed reality experience, later becoming the founder of FreekLabs and FreekMinds, noted for his work on theatre stages, festivals and raves across Europe, mixing reality with the imaginary in staged experiences of various scales through sound, music, installations and projection mapping on various surfaces and gases. His work pushes the boundaries of perception, awareness and reality, creating experiences that often address social issues with a psychedelic twist. Arriving in London, he expanded his practice into virtual realities creating award winning experiences, co-founding PlayLa.bZ and shaping the foundations of Multidimensional Motion Arts. His work has been highlighted by Guerrillazoo and the cultural diary in 2019. Showing a passionate person with a unique understanding of the mixed reality experience. With this experience being implemented with his 5 year relationship with Ravensbourne Research and support with Synthesis 5.0
